NEWSFLASH!!

After preparing for and carrying out 36 days of hearings in 12 different cities from March 2023 to March 2025, Shawn and Teresa Buckley have decided to pull back from their roles at the NCI to regain their energy and to once again pick up their own day jobs that have been sorely neglected all this time! This change now puts the owness on the many Canadians who see value in what the NCI hearings bring to this nation (bridge building, togetherness, scientific and ethical awareness, personal healing, etc.) to make a greater effort to step up, to take on volunteer roles, and to ensure that the NCI hearings do not end here.

Interestingly, from time to time, some of my former work colleagues do appear to open up my LinkedIN posts.. some may remember my names from positions held a few decades ago and/or new folk may have stumbled in.

So I have been carefully curating what I post there… not wanting to anger some LinkedIN Censorship monitor algorithm…or alienate people with whom I had collegial relations in past decades and about whose current lives I know nothing at all!!

Bit by bit I tell more, noticing the boost in visitor counts whenever something new goes up…

The topic was Are Children Safe in Canada? and every person testifying presented cases of very unsafe kids in this country... :-( We got to cry with Theo Fleury as he retold of his experiences with sexual abuse in tandem with people who counsel abused children in the Edmonton region. We were stunned hearing of children in this country who are taken from parents falsely accused of abusing them when the problem is very rare cases of fragile bones or other disorders.
