It is now six weeks away from the SECOND anniversary of this FollowingtheCovidScience Substack. In those two years, I have posted 184 times - and recently, each post has had an average of 500 views. (THANK YOU EVERYONE!)
And yet… those people I most wanted to connect with STILL hold on to views like “Sure there were mistakes with the COVID vaccines, but at least they did more good than harm.” ARRGGH!!!
It has also been over two and a half years since I first posted:
a labour of love spanning over 70 articles - either reprints of letters by academics, like Dr. Steven Pelech, Dr. Micheal Palmer, Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi, etc. or other analysts, or my own “think aloud” research protocols as I tried to follow the documentation that our provincial & federal public health officials would have had access to starting in 2020. What started as email attachments I would excitedly send to my compassionate, academically-minded, deep thinking, yet mainstream-following friends and contacts suggesting they take a look, soon morphed into such a large collection, much too large to send via email. I needed to post it on a website in order to send links to my friends. And still — no bites!
“I would believe you if I could, but until I know for sure that what you are talking about is real and true, I can’t.” This is a rough paraphrase of the reactions of some. Others were more blunt: “Stop sending me all this misinformation. If you don’t I will need to cut my ties to you.”
Just what was I trying to share back in October 2021? The culmination of a collection started in early 2020, which I described as follows:
Purposes of this COMPILATION OF LETTERS, ARTICLES & RESEARCH DOCUMENTS: compiling of record; spreading of information; amplifying the sidelined voices; questioning the scientific basis of current policies; providing guidance to action or judgement. This compilation focusses primarily on documentation written in Western Canada between August and October 2021 while also referring to the larger national and international context, going back to the start of the declared COVID-19 pandemic.
NOTE: This investigative project is NOT meant as to “name and shame.” In order to build mutual understanding of the situation, all individuals identified as “Science Writers,” “Science Advisory Committee Members,” “Policy/Decision Makers” and/or “Societal Leaders” will be contacted with these findings and offered a chance to respond. In this way, we can all learn about the restraints and tensions each group felt to better understand how this situation was allowed to evolve.
Compiled by a small group of Concerned Citizens in and around Edmonton, Alberta and made available for widespread sharing.

Once that “free” website reached capacity, I opened the Substack you are currently reading.
And here too, the more I “followed the COVID science” the more expansive topics under the rubric of “Censors, Media & Money” became. Astute readers may have noted how with increasing frequency the posts here have been dealing with failures in Canadian journalism, i.e. how there has been full disregard for the codes of ethics that are supposed to govern journalism and ensure that the public is presented with a wide diversity of opinions upon which to base their own decision making. This failure continues to prevent my academically-minded mainstream-trusting friends from hearing what I am hearing and understanding what I have come to know.
And now the threat of Global Governance is rapidly rising — via the World Health Organization’s soon to be voted on Pandemic Treaty (& IHR amendments) and/or the United Nation’s upcoming September gathering and associated votes. If I dare to mention any of this to my mainstream-minded friends, they will think I have gone even further off the deep end and completely forget that they once knew me as a rational, intelligent and caring human being!
Yet write and share I must - if not to them, then to others who do not know me personally, like journalists who might still be unaware of the effects of the Trusted News Initiative etc. on their workplace. And societal leaders who have NO CLUE that we are likely about to face more lockdowns, more mandates, more chaos and more resistance within the year.
I sense a need to separate these topics OUT from this Substack
So, to stay informed on these topic areas (and to follow me as a writer) please visit these two additional locations:

The idea for this ShareableNews project came in discussion with a concerned medical professional who found sharing long Substacks with mainstream-minded folks problematic. People need something short and concise. And not just about Covid. Something easy to pass around.
Having a dedicated place to address matters around journalism (including the Disinformation Tactic of Information Omission) will allow me to keep to the core “business” of “following COVID science” on this substack. And having easy to print PDF mini-newspapers that can be circulated in spaces open to the public - like in barbershop and hairdresser waiting rooms… might be a way to reach those who are just now beginning to see cracks in “official” news reporting.
I hope to see all the followers of this substack remain here for more COVID prevention, COVID vax and LONG COVID related news. But I also hope to see everyone venture over to these other two places!
For now, I leave you with this food for thought:
