So by now you might be starting to recognize how controlled your daily news sources have become. But where do you turn for alternative coverage on topics that matter to you?
If your favourite local public broadcast station does a decent job of covering local news and weather, you may choose to continue tuning in to those segments.
But then, when it comes to the standard government or corporate take on national and international news narratives, ones that seemed designed to improve a corporate bottom line above everything, turn the station off. Enough with being told you need more pharmaceuticals, more electric cars and solar panels, more carbon tax, less meat, less divisiveness in society, more corporate sponsored festivals showing this or that type of diversity while needing LESS diversity in news reporting (i.e. MORE calls for corporate censorship of pesky MISINFORMATION in reporting) you admit, you are getting kind of sick of the racket.
Honestly, you are sick of the George Orwell like restrictions on your mind and media space like these:

And then you hit your “last straw” - THE STORY that for you, illuminates the contrast between the news INSIDE the bubble and the news OUTSIDE of it.
For some, it was 9/11. For others it was the “safe and effective” Covid-19 “vaccination.”
For CJHopkins, well-loved American satirist living in Berlin, it was the two tweets he sent, reposting the German health minister’s tweet on masking with the addition of a photo of his own book cover. The result… a 60 day jail sentence or several thousands in fines. CJ Hopkins writes…

For you it might be the coverage of this year’s wildfires that opens your eyes to the limits of the mainstream media bubble. Fellow human beings fleeing their homes in Quebec, New Brunswick, Alberta, BC, the Northwest Territories, Greece, Maui etc. etc. are being used as background props for the hysteria that we must all somehow “do something to fight climate change” - that “something” ( to collect taxes to pass those monies over to “green manufacturing”, to “carbon sequestering” etc.) misses the point about who benefits from all this activity in the end.
The mainstream narrative is that wildfires are due to climate change. And you wonder, why in hotter countries with forested areas, countries that have been hotter than Canada for thousands of years, spontaneously erupting wildfires and plastic chemical smelling woodsmoke haven’t been a thing in the past. You start to see a straight line between points like these:
OMG!!! The climate is changing!!! It is due to all the human activity all over the planet!!! Producing so much CO2!!! So we need to STOP driving fossil fuelled vehicles and switch to electric vehicles!!! We need to STOP heating homes and powering our cities with carbon based fuels and switch to solar and wind… We even need to sequester CO2 underground and go so far as to sequester dead trees in the desert, as decaying biomass raises CO2 levels…

the fact that the top investment groups in the manufacture of electric vehicles and solar panels are the same investors behind everything else we’ve been producing before this most recent “climate change” hysteria:

You also start to notice how those who pointed out the flaws with COVID-19 vaccination and those who advocated for safer and more effective alternative treatments were harassed, vilified, censured and censored on major government-funded and corporate media platforms. And how anyone pointing at other reasons for wild fires is being gaslit, or otherwise publicly pilloried these days by the same powerful parties. People who actually point out how infinitesimal the portion of CO2 in the atmosphere is, how beneficial raised CO2 levels are to more greening in arid areas these days, how there are actually climate good news stories not being covered in mainstream media, how inefficient a full scale reliance on wind and solar is, how costly the entire life cycle of EVs is, how the alarmists used to predict “global cooling” just a few decades ago, and how geoengineering needs to be pointed at as a major reason for climate disruption - these people are now being vilified for “spreading misinformation.” In particular those who predict that corporatist powers are once again planning to lock down society, if not because of some new horrifically viral scare, them for some kind of “climate emergency” - these people are now roundly abhored inside the bubble. Or completely ignored. Even the concept of “corporatism” does not receive a single meaningful mention in the search engine of the CBC, the CTV or Global News… And yet it is the defining characteristic of our time!

Predictably, the mainstream corporate media bubble is giving zero airtime to those who are urgently pointing out how the World Health Organization (WHO) and the UN’s major treaty initiatives give themselves the powers to declare emergencies and exert pressure on signatory countries to mandate severe restrictions on human activity. Or those who raised questions as to the role of the world’s largest corporate lobby group in shaping Canadian policies. Followers of the mainstream corporate bubble in positions of power, like MPs in Canada’s House of Commons have so far gotten away with the same techniques as devotees to the public health pro-vax narrative have used these past three years. Conservative MPs Dr. Leslyn Lewis and Colin Carrie both have experienced this first hand. The latest group to now call for drastic actions to “fight climate change” is the C40 - the group of 40 city mayors currently being chaired by London mayor Sadiq Khan. Canadian cities included are Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. Mr. Khan recently called for a caloric restriction at 2500 per person a day, a daily meat ration (2 meatball sized portions a day), 8 new clothing items a year, and other consumption restrictions on flights and car ownership.
The same global-megacorporations that had controlling interests in BigPharma shares driving the frenzy to up share prices and corporate earnings during the declared pandemic are the ones set to benefit from the frenzy re: “green technologies”being driving against a backdrop of increased human suffering.
By now names like Blackrock, Vanguard and StateStreet (among many others) do start ringing a bell, don’t they? You take a name like COMCAST which proudly tells you how it reaches hundreds of millions of customers:
And you ask two questions:
What does COMCAST own? and Who owns COMCAST?
Thanks to Stockzoa, you learn that COMCAST viewers/customers at AT&T Broadband, NBCUniversal, Sky Broadcasting, DreamWorksAnimation and the online video streamer XUMO are also all controlled by the aforementioned major corporate investment groups:

And willingly suspend any notion that governments or news platforms should get people to stay quiet with their views, news and observations as a way to IMPROVE DEMOCRACY as called for the Washington Post as seen above.
NOTE: This list below is by NO means complete, nearly every day we find new fresh voices. Feel free to share links to those independent news outlets we missed.. Note also, that some of these voices rely on financial support directly through contributions from viewers/listeners. Others interrupt their broadcasts with messages from sponsors/advertisers to cover their costs. Clyde Do Something - Clyde, a BC mechanic with a YouTube channel, has invited a wide range of interview guests and has ventured into many and varied topics.
Kid Carson - former Vancouver morning show radio host turned independent podcaster has done over 100 interviews with fellow critical-minded individuals since leaving his mainstream job. Episode 103 with personal wellness coach Jason Christoff and Episode 108 with child advocate Tasha Fishman provide an incredible overview of what has been happening on a larger scale these past three years. Throughout history, elites have manipulated the rest of the population, culminating in a dizzying array of “agendas” to hit our schools these days. Any newcomers to news outside the mainstream bubble will do well to listen to both episodes with an open mind to understand the perspective of a growing number of ‘narrative-sceptical’ Canadians.
Marcel Irnie - A BC based pro Superbike racer with a YouTube channel, Marcel continues interspersing his racing videos with coverage of Kelowna and national stories related to Covid polices.
Mr. Sunshine Baby - a former Canadian veteran runs two YouTube Channels. One is dedicated to the goings on in our House of Commons, called House of Canada. The second is his personal political commentary.
Shawn Newman Podcast - Shawn, a former NHL Player living in Lloydminster (on the border between Alberta and Saskatchewan) has turned his reach to an advantage, by netting interviews with high profile and local voices on a range of topics.
Trish Wood - award winning investigative journalist and former host of the CBC’s Fifth Estate has struck out on her own to bring an excellent line up of first class guests. Here is Kid Carson’s interview with Trish Wood.
Viva Frei - former lawyer turned YouTuber, David Freiheit covers a range of Canadian and US topics with wit and precision.
Zack Schmidt - A Saskatchewan based podcaster who addresses anything from Harry Potter to current events on the Schmidt House Podcast.
NON-GOVERNMENT FUNDED NEWS ORGANIZATIONS
The Canadian Independent - a small-ish organization with posts across a range of platforms including Twitter, Substack, Rumble and more.
The Counter Signal - founded by former Rebel News reporter Keean Bexte, has grown from a one-man operation to something larger, covering Canadian and international stories. (Membership required to access news behind a paywall.)
Lifesite News - this US based international Catholic news outlet makes no bones about its faith-based pro-life stance. For a selection of stories related to Canadian topics see here.
Rebel News - covers a wide range of stories nationally and internationally and has the infrastructure needed to support a number of daily/weekly shows by specific news hosts/commentators in addition to the news stories they bring. Rebel News operates on a crowdfunding model, and has also funded for specific documentaries and the legal costs for some of the people impacted by government policies, etc. To provide the international coverage, Rebel News partners with like-minded independent journalists in countries like Australia, Great Britain, etc. to allow for viewers to subscribe to specific 'news bureaus’. An example of their scrappy form of public advocacy was their low budget, crowd funded trip to Davos, Switzerland to cover as much of the 2023 annual gathering of the World Economic Forum as they could. This while there was next to no mention of the event on mainstream media.
True North - A Canadian digital media platform that developed out of the True North Centre for Public Policy. It has since grown to include a staff of 14 news program hosts/investigative journalists. Various hosts run regular podcasts that have been growing in popularity for their “telling it like it is” critical stance on current topics of interest.
GETTING CAUGHT UP WITH COVID RELATED HAPPENINGS:
Started by former Kindergarten teacher, Gord Parks aka Glen Jung, Bright Light News has been “shining a light” on key topics for nearly three years. Telegram is also used by organizations like the Canadian Covid Care Alliance, the National Citizens’ Inquiry and Vaccine Choice Canada to communicate among its membership. In order to ensure you get regular and timely access to breaking news on the COVID or other fronts, consider contacting these organizations to ask about memberships, which will include access to their messaging channels.

RFK JR PODCAST - since February 2021, current candidate for the Democratic Presidential nomination Robert F Kennedy Jr. has been regularly interviewing major figures in environmental, agricultural, technological, socio-economic, political, military, geopolitical, pharmaceutical, cultural and other issues. Guests include Vandiva Shiva, Aaron Mate, Whitney Webb, Scott Ritter and a veritable who’s who of key voices of our time. Especially valuable for those who hesitate listening to conversations with right of centre voices. RFK Jr is as centrist/left of centre as they come - having been born into the heart of the American Democratic Party. He ensures the guests have the floor and does not monopolize their time. A real chance to get caught up on such a wide range of issues!!
VSRF - the Vaccine Safety Research Foundation, founded by tech entrepreneur Steve Kirsch, holds a weekly livestream event open to the public. The topics are usually vaccine, Covid or public health related.
LOOKING AT THE US POLITICAL & CULTURAL SCENES
The Jimmy Dore Show - Why do comedians seem to know more about current events than news reporters? Left-wing comic with vaccine injuries, Jimmy Dore turns his razor sharp wit into a critical examination of all sorts of news stories. When he is touring, daily episodes are hosted by others. A well-loved feature is the weekly “phone call” or comic impression from notable figures such as “Joe Biden” or “Al Pacino” voiced impeccably well by fellow comedian Mike MacRae.
The Kim Iverson Show - recently having ventured out on her own after parting ways with “The Hill” Kim Iverson hosts insightful guests, allowing viewers to learn alongside of her quests for truth. A recent guest was former Blackrock financial analyst Ed Dowd on the dual topics of the fire in Lahaina and the explosion in excess deaths post Covid-vax.
Russel Brand - UK comic with a wide reach - Russel Brand’s quick wit addresses topics from Aliens to Censorship to Zelenski with his unique creative and passionate left libertarian vibe.
Tucker Carlson - No longer with FOX News, Tucker Carlson’s show was the first major US platform to allow information about the early treatment of COVID-19 to be granted a hearing. Carlson remains strongly vilified by leading voices within the mainstream media bubble to this day. Yet his no-nonsense, clear thinking approach to allowing major influencers to share their critiques on a range of geopolitical and cultural topics resonates with millions. To better understand the views outside of the bubble, listening in to the occasional recent recordings is recommended. For example in Episode 11, Carlson interviews the Rapper Ice Cube on the ramifications of his refusal to take the COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of participation in a movie deal.
